Trettitre Tresound 1 Speaker Review

Trettitre Tresound 1 Home Audio speaker being tested in the office for our review.

The Tresound 1 is a Gorgeous looking speaker that matches with modern decor.

The Trettetre Tresound 1 speaker is a premium Bluetooth speaker designed to provide a high-quality sound experience. While the company may be relatively new to the market, you can’t help but notice they have set their sights on the higher-end products from competitors like Bang and Olufsen and Harmon & Kardon.

I have spent a few weeks using this speaker, and , I am highly impressed. It feels like a stunning statement piece, a big win for consumers who enjoy high-end products in a home setting.

Instant Classic - Iconic Styling

The speaker is an eye-catching, premium, and elegant. There are many ways to describe it, but I keep returning to dropping an f-bomb in front of the word awesome.

Photo of the base of the speaker showing the venting for the large woofer.

It is inspired by the mountains and has a clean natural minimalist design that is refined and understated. It comes in four different colors, so it can be matched to fit any room’s decor, but for me, the real standouts are the black and green versions which ooze class.

The piano paint finish and metal accents give the speaker a sophisticated look and feel. The speaker's design is not only visually striking, but it also serves a functional purpose. The cone piece on top double up as the volume control with a potentiometer allowing fine tweaking of the output level.

It’s buttery smooth and offers the perfect resistance. It can be considered as another nod that we are looking at a speaker that is not a toy; the finishing is insane.

What I like most is that the speaker's natural, minimalist design blends seamlessly into any room and allows the focus to be on the sound quality.

It doesn’t scream speaker, but it doesn't fill the room with its obvious purpose; it could as quickly be something else like an air purifier or high-end computer casing.

A 360 Degree Audio Feast

One of the standout features of the Tresound 1 speaker is its 360-degree sound experience. The speaker is designed to fill the entire room with sound, no matter where it is placed.

The 3-way speaker design and completely separate acoustic structure work together to provide superior coherence, precise imaging, and neutral tone balance. The result is an immersive, high-quality sound experience filling a room with sound that seems to come at you from all directions.

The Tresound 1 is equipped with various high-performance speakers and drivers in a unique array under the conical body.

The speaker features 2x 1.25" silk film tweeters and 2x 2.25" full-frequency midrange drivers paired with a hefty 5.25" downward-firing subwoofer. These speakers work together to provide a well-rounded, high-quality sound experience.

The tweeter provides crisp, clear highs, the full-frequency speaker delivers rich, detailed mids, and the subwoofer provides deep powerful bass.

Connectivity is limited, and it doesn’t oversell itself—there are no wifi or optical inputs, etc. Only Bluetooth and aux in are the ways to get your music playing.

I couldn’t get over how good it looks and how well built it was for the price. Thankfully the sound is also up to par.

The Tresound 1 speaker supports Qualcomm CSR aptX Bluetooth 5.1, which allows for 24bit/96kHz audio transmission. This means that the speaker can playback high-resolution audio received wirelessly.

The sound quality is fantastic. I didn’t know what to expect when I received the unit, but when I got it in hand, the finishing was so high I knew they couldn’t afford to mess up on sound and certainly didn’t.

The speaker gets very loud without distortion and feels complete and cohesive. Many small speakers struggle with depth replication and come across as tinny sounding, but I couldn’t do that with the Tresound one, which, when pushed, just sounded fantastic.

Its tuning is to the warm and intimate side with smooth, lush tones, yet despite this, the bass remains remarkably composed, and despite the ability I expect to do so, it holds back from swamping mids in acoustic and jazz tracks.

The real star is when we get into EDM, and that subwoofer kicks in; it’s punchy and fast and takes advantage of the downward-facing driver to fully immerse you in your track.

The sound is comparable in tuning to my Bang and Olufsen Wedge, although the Wedge does carry the sound further and will get a little louder. However, the fact that I can mention them in the same breath is a testament to how well Tresound has performed in this review.

An Easy Choice for Minimalists

For me, the biggest highlight of the speaker is its fluidity in my environment; the looks are drop-dead gorgeous, and with that, it’s an addition to the decor of the room as opposed to something purely for function. I loved the volume pot on top and became quickly accustomed to walking in the door, twisting the top, and sitting down to select my music; it was seamless.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Tresound 1 speaker doesn’t just meet expectations but blows them away. This is a classy bit of kit with top-of-the-line build quality and finishing. The sound matches the looks, which I was happy to see, but it could still do with more functionality added by connection options. I was new to this brand but already have several other products on the way, and if they come close to the Tresound, they could be one to watch in 2023.
